Objectives of Telangana Association of Denmark
The Telangana Association of Denmark (TAD) is a non-religious, non-profit, and non-political organization that encourages people of Telangana origin living in Denmark to actively participate in community growth and cultural integration. Telangana officially became the 29th state of India on June 2nd, 2014. Since then, the Telangana community in Denmark has united to form an association that truly represents their roots while embracing Danish values.
Vision: “Connect the Telangana Community in order to promote culture and support/serve the Telangana people in Denmark.”
Objectives:
- Preserve and promote Telangana culture, language, and heritage by celebrating traditional festivals and events.
- Foster inclusivity by giving equal importance to all religions and empowering women.
- Support newcomers in education, employment, and understanding the Danish work culture through dedicated workshops.
- Unite all Telangana individuals in Denmark under a shared platform to promote customs, traditions, and social values.
- Represent the Telangana community in Embassy of India events such as Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations.
- Create opportunities for Danes and others to explore Telangana’s culture and traditions.
- Offer weekend dialect classes for children to keep the Telangana language and identity alive across generations.
- Run a dedicated ladies club to guide first-time mothers on pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenting.
- Organize awareness programs on topics like organ donation, health, and the importance of learning Danish.
